Sectors & Peer Comparison on Company Pages

The Sector & Peers section on the Company Page helps traders compare a stock against:

  • Its broader sector
  • Its direct peers and competitors

This helps answer questions such as:

  • Is the stock cheaper or more expensive than its sector?
  • Is profitability stronger or weaker than peers?
  • Which companies are leading the sector financially?

The section is available under the Sector & Peers tab on the Company Page.

The Stock vs Sector section compares the company directly against sector averages using key financial metrics such as:

  • PE
  • PB
  • ROE
  • ROCE
  • EBITDA Margin
  • Revenue Growth

The table displays:

  • Company values
  • Sector averages
  • Relative comparison status (better or worse)

The table uses contextual color highlighting to simplify comparison.

For metrics like PE and PB:

  • Lower than sector average → generally highlighted green
  • Higher than sector average → generally highlighted red

For metrics like ROE, ROCE, EBITDA Margin, and Revenue Growth:

  • Higher values → generally highlighted green
  • Lower values → generally highlighted red

The Stock vs Peers section compares the company against other companies within the same sector.

The comparison table may include:

  • Peer companies
  • Market cap
  • Financial ratios
  • Profitability metrics
  • Growth metrics

The current stock remains highlighted for easier comparison.

This helps traders identify:

  • Sector leaders
  • Laggards
  • Outliers
  • Relatively stronger companies

Users can customize the comparison table using the Edit Columns feature.

This allows:

  • Adding/removing ratios
  • Changing visible metrics
  • Creating more personalized peer comparisons

The Sector & Peers section helps traders:

  • Benchmark companies against their sector
  • Compare stocks against competitors
  • Identify relatively stronger businesses
  • Spot expensive or undervalued names
  • Build more contextual conviction before taking trades or investments

Instead of analyzing companies independently, traders can evaluate them relative to the broader industry landscape and peer group.
