Stochastic Oscillator (Fast K)
Fast Stochastic %K is the main line of the stochastic oscillator. It measures where the current closing price is relative to the recent high-low range. Values close to 100 mean the stock is near its recent highs, while values near 0 mean it’s near its lows.
Traders watch %K for overbought or oversold levels. A value above 80 often signals overbought, and below 20 signals oversold. When %K starts reversing from these zones, it can hint at a potential price turn.
For example, if Reliance’s Fast %K falls below 20 and then turns upward, traders may see this as a signal that the stock is bouncing back from oversold territory.
