Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited, established in 1967 by Dr. KK Birla, is a flagship entity of the Adventz Group, spearheaded by Mr. Saroj Kumar Poddar. The company serves as a comprehensive agricultural solution provider in India, offering products such as complex fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds under the 'Jai Kisaan' brand. A significant player in the agriculture sector, Zuari focuses on fostering agricultural self-sufficiency and economic independence by delivering cost-effective and efficient fertilizers.
Among its notable achievements, Zuari commissioned a Granulated SSP plant in Maharashtra in 2015 and revamped its NPK plant to enhance production capacity. In 2015, Zuari's subsidiary, Zuari Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, acquired a controlling stake in Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited. In 2021, Zuari sold its Goa fertilizer plant to Paradeep Phosphates Limited for USD 280 million, marking a strategic business move to streamline operations.
