Zeal Aqua Limited, originally established as Zeal Aqua Private Limited in 2009, is a Gujarat-based company specializing in aquaculture, particularly shrimp farming. Transitioned to a public company in 2015, Zeal Aqua has expanded from its initial shrimp cultivation ventures to a scalable business model that incorporates satellite farming, allowing it to supply inputs like shrimp feeds and seeds to small farmers and purchase their shrimp output. This model has facilitated the company’s growth without heavy investment in physical infrastructure and helped meet the rising demand for shrimp.
With a production capacity of 1500 tons in 2015, Zeal Aqua has since enhanced its operations, establishing a state-of-the-art processing facility in 2017 and a shrimp processing plant in 2018 with a capacity of 5800 MT per annum. The company expanded its product line in 2023 by producing fish fillets.
