About Yajur Fibres Ltd Yajur Fibres Limited, originally incorporated as Shineup Investments Limited in 1980, is part of the well-recognized Kankaria Group with extensive experience in the jute industry. Over its history, the company underwent multiple name changes and expansions, most recently adopting its current name in 2021. It has positioned itself as one of India’s leading producers of cottonised bast fibres, such as flax (linen), jute, and hemp. Operating out of its manufacturing unit in Jagannathpur, Howrah, the company has a production capacity exceeding 300 MT per month.
In 2006, Yajur Fibres expanded into manufacturing cotton and cotton-blended yarns, and by 2017-18, it specialized in premium cottonised bast fibres. Its products are reputed for their softness, cleanliness, and consistency, making Yajur a preferred supplier for top spinning and weaving mills in India, Turkey, Indonesia, Nepal, and Bangladesh. The company consolidated its operations further with the amalgamation of Yajur Bast Fibres Limited into its structure, effective from April 2021.
To strengthen its market position, Yajur Fibres acquired an 80% stake in Yashoda Linen Yarn Limited in January 2025, making it a subsidiary. The company’s focus on innovation and consistency in producing high-quality bast fibres has helped it emerge as a significant player in the industry.
Yajur Fibres is now seeking to expand further through a public issue of 70,00,000 equity shares at Rs. 10 each. This initiative highlights its commitment to growth and signals opportunities for potential investors looking to tap into a company with expertise in premium textile inputs and a robust market presence across multiple international markets.
