Past performance
About Williamson Magor & Company Ltd Williamson Magor & Company Limited, established in 1949 as Macneill & Barry Limited, is a prominent investment and group shareholding entity with a historical foundation in tea manufacturing, dating back to 1868. Originally a multi-divisional company with interests in tea, jute, engineering, and reprographic items, it underwent significant restructuring over time. By the 1990s, the company focused on hiving off its diverse divisions to establish itself as a pure investment firm, spinning off its engineering and tea operations into separate group companies. This strategic reorganization transformed Williamson Magor into primarily a holding company for its subsidiary tea firms. Despite efforts to diversify into the power sector and other ventures, such as a joint venture called Dl Williamson Magor Bio Fuel Limited in 2006, the company has divested many of its interests, including various subsidiaries. Currently, its activities are centered around trading, investments, property ownership, and tea warehousing.
