West Coast Paper Mills Limited (WCPML), part of the SK Bangur Group, is a prominent manufacturer headquartered in Kolkata, India. Established in 1955, the company operates a state-of-the-art paper manufacturing facility in Dandeli, Karnataka, with a production capacity of 320,000 metric tonnes annually. WCPML also produces optical fiber and jelly-filled telephone cables at its Mysore plant. The company holds ISO certifications and operates a self-sustained pulp capacity of 255,000 MTPA, along with a captive power generation capability of 74.8 MW, ensuring operational efficiency and energy independence.
WCPML expanded its footprint by acquiring a 72.20% stake in Andhra Paper Limited, previously known as International Paper APPM Limited. It has also enhanced its optical fiber cable production capacity with a new facility in Hyderabad, operational since February 2024. Through its subsidiaries and strategic acquisitions, WCPML has diversified its product offerings to include coated paper, paperboards, and various telecom cables, supported by an extensive distribution network across India.
