Vardhman Acrylics Ltd
About Vardhman Acrylics Ltd Vardhman Acrylics Ltd, established in 1990, is an Indian company specializing in the manufacture of acrylic fiber and tow, operating under the brand name VARLAN. The company, initially a venture between Vardhman Spinning and General Mills Ltd and UP State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd, faced early feasibility challenges but later became a subsidiary of Vardhman Textiles Ltd. It operates a production plant in Jhagadia, Gujarat, with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons, having increased from 16,500 tons since its inception. Vardhman Acrylics caters to diverse applications, including hosiery, weaving, home furnishing, and industrial uses, with products such as circular knit, flat knit, and woven fabrics. The company underwent significant restructuring, including a disinvestment by Vardhman Textiles Ltd in 2003 and a disengagement from foreign partners Marubeni Corporation and Japan Exlan Company Ltd in 2007. These strategic shifts returned Vardhman Acrylics Ltd to subsidiary status under Vardhman Textiles Ltd, solidifying its market presence in the acrylic fiber industry.
