About Univa Foods Ltd Univa Foods Limited, originally Hotel Rugby Limited, was established in September 1991 and became public in 1993. The company primarily operates in the hospitality sector, providing hotel chain services, catering to private events, and producing Indian sweets and savories. Promoted by Mrs. Darshana Mahendra Thacker, Univa Foods has undertaken several projects, including the construction of a three-star hotel in Pune and a time-share resort in Matheran, although the latter faced completion challenges.
In recent years, the company has undergone significant changes. In 2007-08, it transferred its assets and investments to Rupali Commercial Private Ltd., resulting in the cessation of its subsidiaries, Rugby Food & Beverages Ltd., Thacker Holdings Ltd., and Jai Thackers Land Development Limited. During the 2021-22 period, ownership shifted as Mrs. Shaik Haseena, Mr. Gangavarapu Prasanth, and Mr. Tangella Suresh acquired a substantial number of the company's equity shares.
