Unitec Fibres Limited (formerly Unitec Fibres Private Limited) was incorporated on February 11, 2005 in Mumbai under the Companies Act, 1956. The company converted to a public limited company and changed its name to Unitec Fibres Limited on June 13, 2024.
The company manufactures Recycled Polyester Staple Fibre (RPSF) using recycled polyester inputs such as polyester waste, PET waste, and discarded PET bottles. Its RPSF is used across end-markets including automobiles, home furnishing, and textiles, positioning the business within demand linked to these sectors.
Operations currently include two manufacturing units (Unit 1 and Unit 2) located at M.I.D.C., Tarapur, Palghar, Thane, with a combined installed capacity of 27,984 MTPA of RPSF per annum. The company has also acquired land in Valsad, Gujarat and is in the process of setting up an additional RPSF manufacturing line, to be designated as Unit 3.
Unitec Fibres has filed a Draft Prospectus with SEBI and is planning an IPO comprising a fresh issue of 39,16,800 equity shares of face value Rs 10 each.
