About Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals and Fertilisers Limited, established in December 1971, is part of the SPIC Corporate Group. The company specializes in producing soda ash and ammonium chloride, employing the eco-friendly Toyo soda dual process in collaboration with Hitachi Zosen Corporation, Japan. This process ensures 100% utilization of chloride and significantly reduces effluent discharge. In addition to these products, the company also manufactures pesticide formulations, with a current production capability of 15 lakh liters.
Their manufacturing facility is located in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The company expanded its product line by commissioning a Technical Grade Ammonium Chloride Plant with a 10,000-tonne annual capacity in 2000 and began producing Ammonium Bicarbonate in 2006. The strategic amalgamation with Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Limited (SPIC) was formalized in 2005, strengthening its market position in the chemical and fertilizer industry.
