Triveni Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) was incorporated as a public limited company on December 4, 2024, under the Companies Act, 2013, with the Registrar of Companies, Uttar Pradesh II at Kanpur. Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited (TEIL) was its holding company prior to the demerger and continues to hold a substantial interest following the transaction.
Under the Scheme of Amalgamation effective May 19, 2026, TEIL’s Power Transmission Business Undertaking was demerged into TPTL as a going concern, with the transfer effective from April 1, 2026. As part of the demerger, TEIL shareholders received one fully paid equity share of TPTL for every three TEIL shares held as of July 22, 2026. A total of 1,047,54,338 equity shares with a face value of ₹2 each have been listed on the stock exchange.
TPTL is an engineering company focused on the design, manufacture, supply and lifecycle support of engineered-to-order, high-speed and specialised gearboxes for critical rotating equipment. Its products serve steam and gas turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, blowers and hydro turbines.
The company supplies equipment to industries including power generation, oil and gas, petrochemicals and refining, chemicals and fertilisers, steel, cement, sugar and distillery, paper, and marine and defence. It also manufactures precision-engineered marine propulsion and naval equipment for defence and coast guard applications.
