Tirupati Starch & Chemicals Limited (TSCL), founded by Damodar Modi and incorporated in December 1985, specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of various starch and glucose products, including Maize Starch Powder, Dextrose Anhydrous, Dextrose Monohydrate, and Liquid Glucose. The company began commercial production in December 1989 and expanded its product line in 1996 to include Dextrous Anhydrous and Dextrous Monohydrate, supported by a public issue in May 1994 to help finance this forward integration project.
In 2012-13, TSCL initiated the construction of a new starch plant in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, to enhance its manufacturing capabilities. The company sources machinery from reputable suppliers, such as Alfa Laval from Sweden, ensuring high-quality production standards. With a focus on expansion and diversification, TSCL is positioned as a key player in the starch and chemical manufacturing industry.
