About Tenneco Clean Air India Ltd Tenneco Clean Air India Limited, incorporated in December 2018 as a private limited company in Chennai, is engaged in manufacturing and supplying advanced clean air, powertrain, and suspension solutions. Initially a private entity, it transitioned to a public limited company in May 2025. The company caters to Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and export markets, while also serving the aftermarket through Motocare India Private Limited, a subsidiary of its parent company, Tenneco LLC.
With a strong history of manufacturing capabilities, Tenneco Clean Air India operates several key facilities. These include plants for bearings (Parwanoo, 1979), advanced ride technologies (Hosur, 1983), sealings (Pune, 1997), ignition systems (Bhiwadi, 1999), and clean air solutions (Pune, 2000; Chennai, 2010; Pithampur, 2019). The company installed its first Dorst Press for sintered components in Puducherry in 2007 and launched BS6.2-compliant solutions in 2023. Most recently, in 2024, it introduced new-generation shock absorbers catering to SUVs and EVs, aligning with emerging automotive technology trends.
The company specializes in delivering highly engineered, technology-driven products to meet strict emission norms, enhance performance, and address shifting consumer preferences toward clean mobility. Currently, Tenneco Clean Air India Limited plans to launch an initial public offering (IPO), aiming to raise Rs. 3,000 crore via an Offer for Sale of equity shares priced at Rs. 10 each, which positions it for future growth and expansion opportunities.
