About Tempsens Instruments (India) Ltd

Tempsens Instruments (India) Limited was incorporated on September 14, 1990 in Rajasthan as a private limited company and converted into a public limited company with effect from August 27, 2025. The company manufactures temperature sensing solutions, electrical heating solutions, and specialised cables used to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations across multiple industries. The business traces its origins to a partnership firm, M/s Tempsens, formed in 1991 and engaged in manufacturing, purchase, supply, and fixing of electronic/industrial instruments and allied engineering goods. The company expanded its market presence by becoming an authorized distributor in India (2000) for certain electrical equipment manufacturers based in England, Germany, and the Netherlands, and it was registered in 2002 as a supplier of specialised temperature sensors to a public sector undertaking. Tempsens has broadened its manufacturing capabilities over time: thermocouple cables (2009), mineral insulated cables (2013), nickel alloys (2016), and PVC cables via commissioning Unit-IV (2022). It has also amalgamated with Marathon Heater (India) Private Limited under a Scheme of Arrangement effective March 6, 2025, and has pursued growth through joint ventures and establishing subsidiaries outside India. The company is focusing on developing new products such as slot resistance temperature detectors, mid-voltage heaters, pressuriser heaters for nuclear reactors, and a new generation of high-performance infrared pyrometers and online thermal imagers. It is planning an IPO comprising a fresh issue of Rs 118 crore and an offer for sale of 17,925,071 equity shares (face value Rs 4 each).
