Teja Engineering Industries Limited (TEIL) traces its origins to the proprietorship firm M/s Teja Engineering Services (TES), established on September 24, 2002 in Ankleshwar and later relocated to Bharuch, Gujarat on July 11, 2019. TEIL was incorporated on April 17, 2023 as Teja Engineering Industries Private Limited and subsequently converted into a public limited company, adopting the name Teja Engineering Industries Limited on September 19, 2023. The company acquired the proprietorship TES (owned by promoter Mr. Vakalapudi Srinivasa Rao) via a Business Transfer Agreement dated July 17, 2023.
TES initially operated as an engineering services provider focused on natural gas projects, offering solutions such as customized pipeline design and installation, high-efficiency compression systems, gas measurement and monitoring systems, safety and risk mitigation technologies, compact/modular gas distribution units, environmentally sustainable practices, and remote monitoring and control systems.
Over time, the business expanded into Erection & Commissioning (E&C) projects and services including Operation & Maintenance (O&M) for gas compressors, overhauling of gas compressors, and instrument calibration. It also diversified into installation of high-pressure SS tubing, bulk cascades, and related services, along with erection and commissioning work for natural gas infrastructure such as CNG and terminal stations. TEIL has positioned itself to undertake larger and more complex E&C assignments supporting India’s energy infrastructure.
The company is planning an IPO comprising a fresh issue of 17,00,000 equity shares of face value Rs 10 each.
