The company diversified its operations by introducing frozen peas under the brand TARAI and expanded into mushroom cultivation, offering fresh, frozen, and canned mushrooms. Despite its initial success, Tarai Foods encountered financial difficulties and was declared sick in 2001-02, with a rehabilitation package under IDBI's oversight.
