Sustainable Energy Infra Trust is an infrastructure investment trust focused on renewable energy projects, including wind and solar, primarily serving the Indian market. Established on July 20, 2023, by MSPL Sponsor and OTPP Sponsor, it was registered under InvIT Regulations by August 11, 2023. The MSPL Sponsor has a strong track record in developing and managing renewable energy projects with a portfolio exceeding 1.5 GWp of operational assets and involvement in projects totaling over 4.5 GWp, including international ventures in Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
The Trust leverages advanced technologies such as solar thin film modules, automated cleaning robots, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for enhanced project efficiency. As of March 2023, India’s renewable energy installations reached approximately 172 GW, with significant contributions from solar parks. The Trust plans an Initial Offer of Units worth Rs 2350 Cr., comprising a fresh issue of Rs 1450 Cr. and an offer for sale of Rs 900 Cr., indicating strategic expansion and investment opportunities.
