Suraj Products Ltd, incorporated in 1991 as Champion Cement Industries Ltd, transitioned from cement production to specializing in metallurgical products. Initially, the company operated a mini cement plant but shifted its focus to sponge iron and coke processing in 2002, prompting a name change in 2004 to reflect its new direction. Suraj Products has steadily expanded its capabilities, currently boasting an installed pig iron capacity of 36,000 TPA. They have commissioned multiple kilns, the latest being the 3rd 50 TPD kiln in 2004, and have invested in pollution control measures with an electrostatic precipitator. Their operations also include an in-house iron ore crushing facility. In 2018, the company began producing MS Ingot using sponge and pig iron, supported by captive power from a 3 MW CPP. This diversification underscores their integrated approach to metallurgical production, aiming to leverage in-house resources and power generation to enhance operational efficiency.
