Founded on January 20, 1994, and becoming a public entity in 1995, the company was promoted by Mr. Ashok T Shah, Mr. Dinesh S Shah, and their associates. The strategic shift to manufacturing began with the establishment of dedicated production units in 2007, launching operations in 2008, and expanding with a cold draw facility by 2009.
The company's rebranding to Suraj Limited was finalized in June 2011 as part of the amalgamation, which also involved issuing 22,55,000 equity shares to Suraj Limited's shareholders. In 2018, Suraj Limited enhanced its manufacturing capacity with the introduction of an Electro Polishing Plant for seamless tubes, underscoring its commitment to advancing stainless steel production technologies.
