About Super Iron Foundry Ltd Super Iron Foundry Limited (SIFL), originally incorporated in 1988 as a private company in Kolkata, West Bengal, transitioned to a public limited entity in September 2024. The company remained inactive until 2008, acquiring land in 2009 and commencing commercial production in 2013 at its strategically located Durgapur facility in West Bengal. Over the years, SIFL has established itself as a key player in the iron and steel foundry sector, specializing in manufacturing high-quality municipal castings, ductile iron pipe fittings, automotive castings, agricultural castings, railway castings, and cast-iron counterweights. These products are critical in various sectors like roadway construction, utilities, automotive, agriculture, and railway systems.
SIFL's flagship offerings, including access covers and gully grates, comply with international standards such as EN124 and are widely used in stormwater, sewerage, telecom, and other utility network projects. The company also exports globally and has provided solutions for prestigious international projects like the New Hamad Port Project (Qatar), Lusail FIFA Stadium project, and Dubai South development. With a robust production facility supported by advanced robotics and automation technologies, including automated moulding lines and robotic painting, SIFL expanded its production capacity threefold—from 24,000 MT to 72,000 MT annually by 2021. This expansion enabled diversification into water pipe networks and other sectors requiring precision engineering and stability.
Capitalizing on its expertise and international presence, SIFL is poised for further growth. The company is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) consisting of 6.35 million fresh equity shares. Participation in the IPO could potentially align investors with a dynamic company that has consistently demonstrated innovation, capacity expansion, and penetration into high-growth markets globally. Key growth areas include mega infrastructure projects in the Middle East and expanding demand for precision castings across industries.
