About Sumit Woods Ltd Sumit Woods Limited, originally established as Sumit Woods Private Limited in Goa in 1997, transitioned to a public limited company in 2018. Initially formed as a partnership under 'M/s Sumit Constructions', the company focused on civil contracting, executing projects for notable clients such as Modern Bread and government entities. Founders Mr. Mitaram Jangid and Mr. Subodh Nemlekar expanded the business to property acquisition, construction, and development.
Sumit Woods launched its first project, Kandivali Mitnayan Co-Op Housing Society in Mumbai, in 2003. Since then, it has developed numerous projects in Mumbai and Goa, specializing in residential and redevelopment projects, including CESS and MHADA buildings. Significant projects include 'Sumit Greendale & Sumit Greendale NX' in Virar, in collaboration with Evershine Developers and Rustomjee. In 2018, the company raised Rs 18.24 crore through a public issue, marking its growth and expansion in the real estate sector.
