About Sumax Engineering Ltd
Sumax Engineering Limited was incorporated on December 21, 1994 as a private limited company in Hyderabad and was converted into a public limited company effective September 18, 2024. The company operates in the automotive aftermarket and OEM supply chain, serving both the Automotive OEM market and the Auto Refinish market.
It has two business segments: manufacturing and trading. The manufacturing division produces adhesive tapes and die-cuts, rubbing and polishing compounds, buffing and polishing pads, reflective tapes, printing solutions, domes and graphics, and a range of car care products. The trading segment supplies complementary products such as electrical and pneumatic tools, abrasive sheets/discs/rolls, body shop consumables, retail products and accessories, and aerosol products.
Operationally, the company established its Manesar plant around 2000, expanded business operations to Pune in 2006 and Chennai in 2007, and started PSA tape operations at Manesar in 2011. It commenced SPD production in 2016 and set up a new production plant in Chennai in FY22.
From a capital markets perspective, the company has filed a Draft Prospectus with SEBI and plans a public issue of 53,00,000 equity shares (face value Rs 10 each), comprising a fresh issue of 43,00,000 shares and an offer for sale of 10,00,000 shares. Founded 1994
