Initially aimed at manufacturing latex examination gloves, Southern Latex shifted its focus due to market recession, opting instead for rubberized coir products. The company expanded its production capacity of coir mattresses and implemented facilities for finishing and coir curling, alongside a latex creaming plant in the 1990s.
