About South India Paper Mills Ltd South India Paper Mills (SIPM), established in 1959, specializes in manufacturing paper, paperboards, cartons, and power generation. Located near Nanjangud, Karnataka, the company operates with a paper production capacity of 350 MT/day, using recycled scrap paper and some purchased pulp. SIPM's strategic location offers excellent connectivity to key industrial regions via NH 212 and the Bangalore-Mysore State Highway.
The company has a history of capacity expansion, initially going public in 1994 to finance its growth and set up a co-generation power facility. SIPM has consistently worked on enhancing its production capabilities and energy efficiency, including a major expansion completed in 2002 and the installation of a Co-gen facility in 2015-16. In 2023, the company completed an expansion to boost its paper manufacturing capacity. SIPM also launched a Printing & Packaging Division to cater to brand owners needing high-quality paper packaging. This positions SIPM as a competitive player in the paper and packaging industry.
