South India Paper Mills (SIPM), established in 1959, specializes in manufacturing paper, paperboards, cartons, and power generation. Located near Nanjangud, Karnataka, the company operates with a paper production capacity of 350 MT/day, using recycled scrap paper and some purchased pulp. SIPM's strategic location offers excellent connectivity to key industrial regions via NH 212 and the Bangalore-Mysore State Highway.
The company has a history of capacity expansion, initially going public in 1994 to finance its growth and set up a co-generation power facility. SIPM has consistently worked on enhancing its production capabilities and energy efficiency, including a major expansion completed in 2002 and the installation of a Co-gen facility in 2015-16. In 2023, the company completed an expansion to boost its paper manufacturing capacity. SIPM also launched a Printing & Packaging Division to cater to brand owners needing high-quality paper packaging. This positions SIPM as a competitive player in the paper and packaging industry.
