It was founded by medical practitioners B R Soni and Anju Soni, with the initial aim of operating a CT Scan machine within Soni Hospital. Soni Hospital began as a 20-bed facility in 1988 and expanded over the years to a 100-bed corporate multi-specialty hospital by 1996. In 2014, it transitioned to being fully air-conditioned, enhancing patient comfort and care quality.
In 2020, Soni Hospital, located at JLN Marg, underwent significant modernization to establish a state-of-the-art women's health and well-being center named "JOY," focusing on maternal and child health.
