Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited, initially established as a private entity in July 2013, transitioned to a public company in September 2024. The company is a prominent player in the solar energy solutions sector, specializing in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for solar power projects. Its operations cater to both public sector undertakings (PSUs) and commercial and industrial (C&I) clients, offering comprehensive and cost-effective solutions for the design, installation, and commissioning of solar power systems.
The company operates through two models: the CAPEX model, where customers fully own the solar installations, and the RESCO model, where power is purchased at fixed tariffs without upfront capital investment. Since its inception, Solarworld has developed and executed various rooftop and ground-mounted projects across India. Landmark achievements include a 500 KWp plant in Noida (2014), a 10 MW solar power plant in Telangana (2015), expansions to multiple states, and the commissioning of a 75 MW project for SJVN Green Energy Limited (2023). As of August 2024, Solarworld’s total project portfolio stands at 253.67 MW AC/336.17 MW DC.
In May 2024, the company established a strategic partnership with China-based ZNSHINE PV-Tech Co. Ltd. to set up a solar panel manufacturing facility, enhancing its supply chain capabilities. Solarworld now seeks to raise Rs. 600 crores via public equity issuance, with Rs. 550 crores through a fresh issue and Rs. 50 crores via an offer for sale. The fundraising aims to support expansions and strengthen its market position as a pivotal player in India’s renewable energy sector. For traders, Solarworld presents a valuable opportunity given its consistent growth, strategic partnerships, and key role in the expanding solar power market.
