SKP Securities Limited, initially a finance company, has diversified its offerings to include stock broking, depository participant services, financial product distribution, investment banking, and corporate advisory services. Regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the company serves a diverse clientele, including financial institutions, corporates, and retail investors. The company has experienced significant growth in its equity capital through strategic IPOs and amalgamations, notably raising it from Rs. 2.25 crores to Rs. 5.05 crores by 1998.
SKP expanded its operations by establishing a presence in Mumbai in 2003, launching mutual fund distribution and retail broking, and entering the currency futures market as a member of MCXSX. Further expanding its portfolio, SKP created a 100% subsidiary, SKP Commodities Ltd., in 2009 and acquired SKP Insurance Brokers & Advisors Private Limited in 2014-15. However, SKP divested from SKP Commodities Ltd. in 2017, ceasing its commodity market operations.
