Sagar Soya Products Ltd (SSPL), established in 1982, operates in the agro-processing sector, focusing on the production of soybean oil, soybean oil cakes, cereal straw, husks, rape seed DOC, rape seed oil, and refractions. The company is strategically located in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, and expanded its manufacturing capabilities in Bhainsa, MP, to include soya oil, de-oiled cakes, and soya flour production facilities.
In 1995, SSPL raised funds through a rights issue to finance its expansion efforts and fulfill working capital requirements. The company has a notable presence in the export market, exporting soybean meal and extractions worth Rs 5.75 crore in 1994-95. Additionally, SSPL undertook a significant expansion in 1992, establishing a 500-tonnes-per-day solvent extraction plant and a 40-tonnes-per-day soya flour plant, reinforcing its production capacity to meet both domestic and international demand.
