Shyam Century Ferrous Limited, established on April 12, 2011, operates a facility in Byrnihat, Meghalaya, specializing in the production of Ferro-Silicon, a critical component in the manufacturing of stainless and mild steel. With an annual production capacity of approximately 21,600 MT, the facility also boasts a captive power generation unit with a 14 MW capacity, primarily used for its Ferro-Silicon production. The company expanded its operations through a demerger from Star Ferro and Cement Limited in 2014-15, acquiring a Ferro Alloys unit and a captive power plant.
