About Shriram Asset Management Co Ltd Shriram Asset Management Company Limited, part of the Chennai-based Shriram Group, specializes in asset management services. The company was established in Mumbai in 1994 and is affiliated with Shriram Mutual Fund since receiving approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) the same year. Initially, it ceased operations of all funds in 2001-02 but resumed activity after receiving SEBI's permission in 2012-13, including a change in sponsorship to Shriram Credit Company Limited.
The company relaunched its operations with the Shriram Hybrid Equity Fund in 2013 and has since introduced several funds, including Shriram Flexi Cap Fund in 2018, Shriram Multicap Fund and Shriram Long Term Equity Fund in 2019, and Shriram Balanced Advantage Fund in July 2019. The recent addition to its portfolio is the Shriram Overnight Fund, launched in August 2022, reflecting its continued expansion in the asset management sector.
