About Shree Hanuman Sugar & Industries Ltd Shree Hanuman Sugar & Industries Limited, incorporated in 1932, primarily focuses on sugar manufacturing. Located in the fertile Indo-Gangetic plains of North Bihar, the company's sugar plant in Motihari initially began operations in 1936 with a capacity of 250 TCD, expanding to 1500 TCD by 1968. The plant is seasonal, functioning from November to March, and currently has a capacity of 2500 TCD. Despite resuming operations in 2010, the factory faced closure in 2021-22 due to outdated machinery, financial constraints, and labor issues. The company produces two sugar grades, S-30 and M-30, catering to various uses from beverages to industrial applications. By-products include molasses, sold to distilleries and ethanol producers, and bagasse, used as fuel and in paper production. Shree Hanuman Sugar & Industries is also exploring expansion into housing and commercial construction projects.
