About Shanti Inorganics Ltd

Shanti Inorganics Limited (formerly Shanti Inorgo Chem (Guj) Private Limited) was incorporated on January 13, 2010 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It took over the running business of the promoters’ partnership firm, “Shanti Industries,” on a going-concern basis effective April 1, 2010. The company converted to a public company on March 1, 2025 and was renamed Shanti Inorganics Limited, with a fresh certificate issued on May 6, 2025. The company manufactures and trades sulphur-based inorganic chemicals, including ammonium bisulphite, sodium bisulphite solutions, sodium meta/bisulphite, and sodium sulphite powder. These products are used as preservatives, reducing agents, oxygen scavengers, and process intermediates across industries such as oil drilling, pharmaceuticals, food & beverages, pulp & paper, and water treatment. Products in this sector are generally categorized into food grade and technical grade. Its manufacturing facilities are located at Vatva and Bavla in Ahmedabad, with installed capacities of 16,200 MTPA and 18,000 MTPA, respectively. Operationally, the company started with sodium bisulphite powder, later added liquid sodium bisulphite, and expanded into sodium metabisulphite, described as a higher-grade derivative. In 2016 it added ammonium bisulphite solutions. In 2019, it shifted from sulphur burning furnaces to procuring liquefied sulphur dioxide (SO₂), improving efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing environmental compliance. In 2022, it expanded capacity from 10,700 MTPA to 16,200 MTPA via new plant equipment, and it commenced Phase I production of Manufacturing Unit II in FY25. The company is planning an IPO comprising a fresh issue of 50,00,000 equity shares (face value Rs 10 each).
