Scoobee Day Garments (India) Limited, established in 1994 as Victory Paper and Boards (India) Limited, shifted its focus from paper manufacturing to garments and roofing solutions following a management change in 2017-18. Despite a halt in manufacturing due to labor issues in 2009, the company transitioned to trading, notably in aluminum roofing sheets, generating a turnover of Rs. 1068.22 lakhs and a net profit of Rs. 284.13 lakhs in 2018-19. In 2019, Scoobee Day Garments expanded by acquiring a textile plant in Karur, Tamil Nadu, commencing commercial garment production in May 2019 and a knitting unit in September 2021.
The company is now active in two main segments: manufacturing apparels and readymade garments, as well as roofing solutions. Additionally, they have plans to utilize their land in Palakkad for industrial parks, aiming to diversify and increase revenue. This strategic shift positions Scoobee Day Garments as a versatile player in the Indian manufacturing and trading sectors.
