The company, a product of a demerger from ALSTOM T&D, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and servicing products like transformers, substation automation systems, and medium voltage distribution and grid automation products. It operates from nine manufacturing facilities across India and serves major utilities and power generation companies, particularly in the oil, gas, and metals sectors.
In FY 2017-18, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited secured significant contracts, including projects for Sterlite Technologies, Reliance Infrastructure, and Grasim Industries. The company also executed prominent projects like the expansion of Saint Gobain's glass manufacturing and supplying equipment for solar projects, enhancing its capacity to 3.5 GW. Notably, it contributed to India's infrastructure with the integrated greenfield Smart City, Atal Nagar, and various substations for BSES Yamuna Power Limited.
