Co-promoted by U K Modi and SBEC Systems, UK, which holds a 40% stake, the company offers expertise in designing, expanding, and modernizing sugar plants, as well as integrating co-generation facilities and high-tech equipment. Initially focused on consultancy, SBEC Systems has expanded its services to include equipment fabrication and assembly, particularly in Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh, following a public issue in November 1993.
The company also promoted SBEC Sugar in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. However, its performance faced challenges in 1996-97 due to delays in commissioning projects related to SBEC Sugar Ltd. and SI-AL SBEC Bioenergy Pvt Ltd.
