Satin Creditcare Network Limited (SCNL), established in 1990, is a prominent Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) in India, focusing on microfinance services. Initially offering individual loans to urban shopkeepers, SCNL has now expanded its reach across North and Central India, primarily targeting women in rural areas through Joint Liability Groups (JLG). The company operates in multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar, providing loans to help the urban and rural poor start or expand businesses.
After its IPO in 1997, SCNL navigated several stock exchange listings, finally securing its position on the NSE and BSE in 2015. The company pioneered as the first MFI associated with MUDRA Bank in 2015 and has since diversified its offerings to include health, sanitation, and solar lamp loans. In 2018, SCNL entered the MSME lending space by establishing Satin Finserv Limited, which merged with its subsidiary, Taraashna Financial Services Limited, in 2023.
