Saraswati Commercial (India) Limited, established on January 24, 1983, is a Reserve Bank of India-registered Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). It primarily focuses on investment and trading in shares and securities, as well as lending activities. With an asset size exceeding ₹500 crores, Saraswati Commercial adheres to the Prudential norms for systemically important non-deposit-taking NBFCs as per the 2016 RBI guidelines.
In 2017, the company underwent significant restructuring, amalgamating Aroni Commercials Limited, and creating two subsidiaries, Sareshwar Trading and Finance Pvt. Ltd. and Arkaya Commercial Pvt. Ltd. As part of the amalgamation, it issued 390,593 equity shares to Aroni Commercials Limited's shareholders. This strategic reshuffling aims to enhance its market position and operational capacity in the financial services sector.
