Saffron Industries Limited, initially established as Madhya Desh Papers Ltd in 1993 by the Maheshwari family, is a prominent manufacturer of newsprint and uncoated papers. Renamed in 2011, the company operates a production facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra, with an installed capacity of 21,780 tonnes per annum. To enhance operational efficiency, Saffron Industries commissioned a co-generation power plant in December 2001 to supply consistent and cost-effective power and steam to its paper manufacturing plant. In 2004, the company further modernized its operations by implementing upgradation facilities, including Hot Dispersion and a two-stage De-inking process. These advancements highlight Saffron Industries' commitment to technological improvements and efficient production processes in the paper manufacturing sector.
