Safari Industries (India) Limited (SIIL) is a company engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of luggage and luggage accessories. Established initially as a partnership in 1974, it transitioned to a private limited company in 1980 and a public limited entity in 1986. The company is promoted by Sudhir M. Jatia and operates manufacturing units in Mumbai and Halol, Gujarat, specializing in injection moulded and vacuum formed plastic articles.
The Halol plant, launched in 1982, has undergone significant expansions, increasing its capacity to 1,500 tonnes per annum by 1985 and further expanding production to 200,000 pieces annually by 1993-94. In 2014, SIIL introduced a polycarbonate luggage range and diversified into laptop bags and backpacks. The company has expanded its retail presence with nearly 50 exclusive stores. In 2021, it established Safari Manufacturing Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary, and commenced production at a new facility in Halol in June 2022.
