The company is involved in power generation through windmills and trades in agricultural and metal commodities. Previously, it focused on corn processing but sold this segment in FY 2011-12, redirecting funds into treasury instruments for optimized returns.
The company's historical operations included manufacturing maize-based products and by-products, which served various industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. The firm significantly expanded its operations over the years, including corn grinding capacity and bio-mass power generation. However, with the demerger effective from October 2011, its Corn Wet Milling business was transferred to Riddhi Siddhi Corn Processing Private Limited. This strategic shift marks its current focus on power and commodity trading, positioning it as a diverse player in these sectors.
