Raksan Transformers Limited was incorporated on July 21, 1995 as a private limited company and later converted into a public limited company, changing its name from Raksan Transformers Private Limited to Raksan Transformers Limited. A fresh certificate of incorporation dated May 14, 2025 was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Central Processing Centre, Manesar.
The company initially focused on repair and servicing of distribution and power transformers. It entered manufacturing in 2005–06 by setting up its first transformer manufacturing facility at Rai in Sonepat district, and later added a second facility in Sonepat district, Haryana, to expand capacity. In 2017, it increased production capability up to 12.5 MVA, 33/11KV class transformers.
Raksan manufactures transformers across different voltage ratings, including distribution transformers, power transformers, transformers for solar applications, and special purpose transformers. Its products are used in power generation, transmission, and distribution networks and are deployed across industrial and infrastructure projects to support electricity transmission and distribution.
As of March 31, 2025, its two manufacturing units have a combined installed capacity of approximately 13,50,000 KVA for distribution transformers and 1350 MVA for power transformers. The company is planning an IPO of 55,12,800 equity shares (face value Rs 10 each), comprising a fresh issue of 44,12,800 shares and an offer for sale of 11,00,000 shares.
