Rajasthan Cylinders & Containers Limited, established on December 24, 1980, is a manufacturing company focused on producing and marketing LPG cylinders, valves, and regulators. Initially, the company was heavily involved in manufacturing and refilling LPG cylinders, with its facility located in VKI Area, Jaipur. However, due to a challenging business environment, high raw material costs, and reduced borrowing capacity, the company decided to close its manufacturing operations in Jaipur on December 9, 2022. The LPG filling plant was previously outsourced on a job work basis and disposed of in FY 2020-21.
Despite operational challenges, the company continues to supply LPG cylinders, valves, and regulators to government sector Oil Marketing Companies and customers in Nepal, with operations largely dependent on government policies. In 2014, the company increased its public shareholding to 26.37% through an Offer for Sale, and its shares are listed on the BSE Ltd. The company had divested its investment in Agribiotech Industries Limited by March 31, 2022.
