Promact Plastics Ltd, established in 1985 in Ahmadabad, transitioned from a private to a public limited company in 1993. Initially, it specialized in manufacturing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) woven fabrics and sacks. Over the years, the company expanded its production capacity and achieved full utilization, indicating a strong operational capability. However, in 2014-15, Promact Plastics discontinued its operations in HDPE/PP woven bags, fabrics, and tarpaulin due to unviable business conditions. Consequently, the company decided to dispose of its Woven Sacks Plant in Dediyasan, Mehsana. This strategic shift reflects the company's response to market challenges, suggesting a potential reevaluation of its business model or exploration of new opportunities.
