Prism Finance Ltd, incorporated on April 28, 1994, is a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a Non-Deposit taking entity. Initially known as Bharat Vijay Mills Ltd, it was established by Arun P Patel, Rahul A Patel, and Pranay A Patel to offer a wide range of financial services. These services include leasing, hire purchase, bill discounting, inter-corporate fund placement, investments, and various merchant banking activities such as issue management, underwriting, and loan syndication. The company also engages in project identification, report preparation, and investment consultancy, including NRI investment facilitation.
In March 1996, Prism Finance Ltd launched a public issue of 3.5 million equity shares to raise Rs 350 lakhs to bolster its long-term working capital for leasing, hire purchase, and investment activities.
