Precision Camshafts Limited, established in 1992, specializes in manufacturing camshaft castings and machined camshafts for the automotive and railway industries. With two advanced facilities in Solapur, Maharashtra, the company operates an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) with four foundries and three machine shops, primarily serving international clients, and a domestic unit catering to Indian customers. To enhance its presence in Asia, Precision Camshafts has formed joint ventures in China, including a machining unit in Ningbo and a foundry in Huzhou.
The company expanded into the European market through a technology transfer agreement with Germany's EMAG, focusing on assembled camshafts. Precision Camshafts went public in 2016, raising approximately Rs 410.19 crore. Its strategic acquisitions include MEMCO Engineering, and it has established a subsidiary in the Netherlands. In 2022, the company ventured into electric vehicle development with the Retrofitted Electric Midsize Bus project, Oranje Tiger, reflecting its innovation and growth in sustainable solutions.
