Pradeep Metals Ltd (PML), established in 1982, specializes in manufacturing closed-die steel forgings and machined parts, primarily for the automobile, defence, engineering, and petrochemical sectors. Initially operating in Dombivli, Maharashtra, PML expanded its production capacity to 12,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) with a new facility in Navi Mumbai. The company employs advanced design and analysis software, along with state-of-the-art machinery, to facilitate a fully integrated manufacturing process that includes inspection, testing, forging, machining, and assembly.
Despite early challenges, such as delays due to customs issues and the closure of the Dombivli plant in 2000, PML has expanded its machining capabilities with advanced equipment like CNC Turning Centers and Vertical Machining Centers. It has also developed a network of dedicated vendors to enhance machining capacity. Recently, PML has focused on improving its operational efficiency by implementing Theory of Constraints (TOC) techniques, reflecting its commitment to enhancing profitability and production efficiency.
