About POCL Enterprises Ltd POCL Enterprises Limited (POEL), established in 1988, transitioned from a trading house to a manufacturing entity following a strategic demerger in 2014. This ISO 9001:2015 certified company now specializes in the production and trading of metals, chemicals, and their oxides. Its manufacturing operations are based in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, including locations in Kakkalur - Thiruvallur and Maraimalai Nagar.
The company's evolution was marked by the demerger of its four key divisions—Metallic Oxides, Plastic Additives, Zinc Refining, and Lead Alloying & Refining—from Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Limited. Since December 2014, POCL has operated independently, no longer as a subsidiary of Pondy Oxides. The demerger resulted in the allocation of shares to existing shareholders, enhancing its capital structure and shareholder base. POCL's diversified manufacturing capabilities position it as a significant player in the metals and chemicals industry.
