Piccadily Sugar and Allied Industries (PSAIL), incorporated in 1993, is involved in manufacturing white crystal sugar and a range of alcohol products, including ethanol, rectified spirit, and extra natural alcohol (ENA) from molasses, rice, and wheat. The company also produces intermediate products like molasses, bagasse, and power, which are utilized in generating electricity—producing 6 MW in total, with 2 MW sold to the Punjab State Electricity Board.
The company supports sugarcane cultivation by offering farmers incentives such as interest-free loans and subsidized fertilizers. Despite being declared a sick industrial company, PSAIL has expanded its operations with a distillery unit established in 2004 and a new grain-based distillery plant in 2017-18. The company also formed two subsidiaries, Six Trees Drinks Pvt. Ltd. and Six Trees Beverages LLP, in 2019-20. PSAIL focuses on enhancing sugarcane quality and maximizing production efficiency.
